What You Got - Billy Crockett

Christian singer-songwriter Billy Crocket sings this catchy acoustic guitar tune that reminds us of how God can transform our "not enough" into "more than enough" for the Kingdom.
What you’ve got it ain’t near enough
To make a difference here; it’s all too clear
And what you’ve got may not be enough
To fill a coffee cup; it don’t add up
But oh, remember the fish and the loaves;
How love has a math of its own
So what you’ve got is more than enough
When God gets a hold of what you’ve got

Now what you’ve got it ain’t near enough
To make the kingdom come; it can’t be done
And what you’ve got may not be enough
To feed a hungry heart; you don’t make a start
But oh, remember the fish and the loaves;
How love has a way of its own
So what you’ve got is more than enough
When God gets a hold of what you’ve got

Love is not a sentimental thing, oh no;
Love is what multiplies our little schemes into bigger things
So, what you’ve got it ain’t near enough
To fix the human race; you can’t save this place
And what you’ve got may not be enough
To bring a healing touch; you don’t have that much
But oh, little David had five smooth stones
And he did not face the giant alone, no, no

So what you’ve got is more than enough,
I say what you’ve got is more than enough
So, what you’ve got is more than enough
When God gets a hold of what you’ve got
Just bring what you’ve got

Thy Kingdom Come - Nicole C. Mullen

In this recording, Nicole C. Mullen offers her version of the Our Father with Gospel music stylings and backing vocals by Michael O'Brien.
Our Father, in heaven,
Please hear me now I pray.
We need you, more than ever,
In a million different ways.

There are wars on every land,
Poverty inside of man.
The earth is groaning from within.
Deliver us again.

From the evil that devours,
Consume it with your power,
We implore you now this hour;
We pray.

Refrain:
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
Right here on Earth, as it is in heaven.
Come, set up your throne,
and let thy Kingdom Come.

Our Father, in heaven,
So holy is your name.
The angels, they adore you,
Soon all Earth will do the same.

Where every tear that we have cried,
Will be comforted and dried.
We'll eat from the Tree of Life,
And life will never end.

And we'll worship at your throne,
Where you'll make your Glory known.
That you are God and God alone,
And we pray.
Refrain:
Thy kingdom come / thy will be done
Right here on Earth, as it is in heaven.
Come, make us your home,
And let thy kingdom,
Let thy kingdom... Let it come!
Thy will be done,
Right here on earth, as it is in heaven.
Come.

Make us your home,
Let thy kingdom, Let it come, come, come...
In our homes... On our jobs... In our churches,
Let thy kingdom...
In our government... In our relationships,
In our schools... In our marriages.
Let thy Kingdom come.

Behold Now the Kingdom - John Michael Talbot & Terry Talbot

Longtime Catholic troubadour and monk John Michael Talbot wrote this classic musical reflection on the paradox of the Kingdom.
A multitude followed a man, a prophet, who spoke words of wisdom
And they listened trying to understand the paradox of His great truth.

Blessed by those who are poor for you shall inherit the kingdom
And blessed be those who are weak for you shall inherit great strength.
Blessed be those who are children for you shall be counted as wise.
And blessed be the blind man for you shall see with new eyes.

Behold now the Kingdom, See with new eyes.
Blessed be those of compassion for you shall inherit compassion.
And blessed be those who forgive, for you shall be forgiven.
You shall receive consolation only in reaching to give.
And only in dying for others can you be reborn to live.

Instant Karma - John Lennon

While not a Christian song, John Lennon's popular anthem is a challenge to take responsibility for our actions and the effects they have today.
Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon you're gonna be dead
What in the world you thinking of
Laughing in the face of love
What on earth you trying to do
It's up to you, yeah you

Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna look you right in the face
Better get yourself together darling
Join the human race
How in the world you gonna see
Laughing at fools like me
Who in the hell do you think you are
A superstar
Well, right you are
Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Well we all shine on
Everyone come on

Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna knock you off your feet
Better recognize your brothers
Everyone you meet
Why in the world are we here
Surely not to live in pain and fear
Why on earth are you there
When you're everywhere
Come and get your share

Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun...
