Common Prayer

Oh Lord,
   we gather today around this table
   to remember what your Son taught us
   by how he shared meals:
      how to eat well together,
      how to welcome those who are different,
      how to give and to receive,
      how to value and build community,
      how to truly connect with others.

Help us to more fully enter into this new way of living.

We pray this in Jesus name.
